Marlee is a creative and detail-oriented hairstylist who has always had a strong passion for art, fashion and the beauty industry. She was born and raised in Saugerties, NY. Growing up one of four girls, she discovered her love for hairstyling by doing her sister’s hair and makeup for proms, social events, or just for fun. Marlee earned her bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising in 2018, sharpening her eye for style and trends. Throughout working in the fashion industry, the thought of doing hair as a career was always in the back of her mind. At age 26, she decided to enter a new career path and began cosmetology training at Capris Cosmetology. Immediately after graduating cosmetology school in September 2023, Marlee started her career at Lux Hair Studio as a licensed hair stylist.

Since working behind the chair at Lux, Marlee has rapidly refined her work and has increased

her clientele tremendously. She helps clients find a hairstyle that boosts their confidence while educating them on what hair products to use and how to maintain their hair at home. Her dedication and success led her to being promoted to Master Stylist within her first year.

What Marlee enjoys most about being a hairstylist, aside from making her clients look and feel beautiful after leaving her chair, is being someone they can trust and share milestones with. Whether it’s life struggles or success, she enjoys listening and uplifting people and takes pride in being a part of her clients’ journeys in hopes to create long lasting relationships through her work.
